The 2008 Art Of Surfing Festival will open Thurs July 31 and run through Sat Aug 2nd on the music pier in Ocean City, NJ. Swing by and see your favorite artists newest works.
Sagemore Surf Gallery and Surfing Artists International presents it’s 8th annual“Art of Surfing Festival”, which has quickly become the premiere east coast surfing event of the summer. The festival is an expression of the local surfing culture and it’s influences from Hawaii and California. This show is for anyone that is drawn to the ocean and enjoys the beach culture lifestyle.
The Music Pier is located on the Ocean City boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace & extends out over the beach & ocean. Every August over 6,000 families converge on the Music Pier to take part in what has become the largest event of its kind on the East Coast.
This year will also feature a children’s activity tent sponsored by Gillian’s Wonderland Pier & a visit from Malibu’s original Gidget. Gidget will be available for a book signing and autograph sessions throughout the event.
The 3 day event (July 31st – August 2nd) will feature a surf art exhibit, live music, surf movies, painting demonstrations, surf memorabilia and much more. Artists will be on hand throughout the show to meet the public and answer questions.
Many of SAI’s internationally acclaimed artists will be on hand to meet the public for signings & demonstrations of their unique talents. The TV-Book shelf ...

I've been working on this "Entertainment center" since this winter and am finally done. After Chi Chi's passing and Keegan's birth this was the 3rd most important thing I had going this past winter(-:spring,summer:-). She is finally finished. An approx 7' x 5' mahogany, yellow heart, brazilian cherry, black walnut, maple, ash, and blood wood "entertainment center" for a wall mounted flatscreen TV. The side boards are mahogany and y heart w/ maple figure 8 stringers inspired for an old Greg Noll I have. The fin on the top of the book shelf is ash, black walnut, & blood wood inspired by my friend Pat's old Weber pig fin. This has been one of my favorite jobs so far, and I look forward to designing & making more exotic wood sculptures like this in the future. Here are some pics of it in progress and finished...
