The OLC fights hunger

During this holiday the Offshore Longboard Club is running a canned & nonperishable food drive. Drop off boxes will be available @ all the Ocean City, NJ area surf shops. All of the donations go to help the Food Bank of South Jersey.

J. Instone's Custom Sculpture

John asked me to make a custom sculpture for his game room wall last month after seeing my work @ the OCFAL. The idea was to have a wall sculpture w/ a standing man overlooking the room. The board is made from figured red birch, mahogany, and ipae, with a yellow heart & bloodwood nose block & a brazilian cherry & ash fin. The base is made from mahogany w/ maple stringers running through it. Thanks John.

Painting on surfboards

I did some paintings on surfboards this summer for clients, and since I just found my camera which has been lost since July, I figured I would post one for everyone.

Artist of the month...

I am the "Artist of the Month" @ the Ocean City Fine Arts League for September. The opening reception will be on Friday Sept 5th from 7pm-9pm. Stop by for food and beverages and purchace some art. The newest Pirahana drawlings are up as well as new self portraits, so there are definatley things none of you have seen yet.
The OCFAL is located @ 608 Asbury Ave. in Ocean City, NJ. Next to Best Tire. Please come out, I'd love to see you. The show will be up all month long, so if you can't make it to the opening, stop by and check out the artwork anytime 10-6.

Yes, I know I've been slacking on updates.
The summer has been super busy w/ art shows, surf contests, and baby.
I'll post some interesting new work soon.

The OLC's Surf 4 A Cure 8/30/08

Although registration is already full, we would love to see everyone @ 59th St beach in Ocean City, NJ on Aug 30th. The contest format has been changed this year to a team format. It should be fun. Check out www.surfforacure.blogspot.com for all the fun goings on. As always w/ our OLC contests,the proceeds will go to the American Brain Tumor Association.
